You will remember Luke Worsham from our series โHELLO, MY NAME IS:โ (which I need to get back to, by the way). If you donโt, have a read; here is a brief interview and introduction to a true style master and roots surfer from Southern California.
Luke is back with another video from his page Free99X – this one a summer edit titled โ5โ10 Nozโ. At just over 5 minutes we see some extremely stylish, yet highly functional surfing. I was very impressed at how well Luke was able to perform on this board that looked a bit more โalternate surf craftโ than it did โhigh performanceโ – if you will. The Twinzer aspect threw me for a loop when I saw the kind of turns he was doing, specifically on the backhand. Really sharp. You can watch the full edit by clicking the link in this paragraph above, or it is tagged again at the end of this post.
I asked Luke for a few details on the board, what kind of fins he prefers on it, and about the waves he surfed in the video.
โSo the edit was filmed on one board. A 5โ10 Noz model by Panda. It was designed by Blake (Peters) and Noah Collins, and I love Noahโs surfing on it. This board has speed that Iโve never felt and can go more on rail than anything,โ Luke tells me. This is evident in the edit. He is flying, and able to push through turns and sections at an impressive rate.

โItโs a modern take on what 80โs boards could have been if they knew what we know now. Blake and Noah really killed it. I just got another one โฆ 5โ11 haha.โ
Described as โspicyโ on the Panda Surfboards website, this is a great word for Lukeโs surfing on the board. Holding the rail through turns with speed, snapping off the top in critical sections, it looks to surf as high performance as youโd want, while also offering a bit of that newer age flow – highlines and trim. If you want to have a look at the model and possibly order one yourself, you can do so here.
โAs far as the fins, the board was designed as a Twinzer, and I have been riding my tried and true T2 fiberglass Twinzers from Futures. I have yet to find a more well rounded set that can do it all so well.โ
This is coming from the prototype designer and tester for Futures fins, so you can be very sure that Luke has dialed in the exact feel that he wants for what board is underfoot. I would trust his take. Here is a link to the T2 Twinzer fins he mentioned, if you want to have a go.

A classic summer clip that featured a few SoCal staple waves, I double checked to see where the surfing took place.
โThis edit was filmed mostly at Lowers through the summer. There was one session at 56th, and the end was at Churches. I mainly wanted to see how it responded to a more high performance wave like Lowers, and how far I could push it.โ
Set to a tracklist that I would describe as experimental or indie, Luke was glad to share with me that he used only newer music produced in 2025 or โ26.
โI think it’s easy to overlook new music and listen to older stuff all the time. Thereโs a lot of creative people out there making beautiful music their own way in 2026.โ
The music is listed in the video description on Youtube, but I will also list it here for those curious.
Music
Blue Verb Reprise – Vegan
Pants on fire – The sound chalk makes (unofficial DCD remix)
U love it – Loukeman
Faded – Should
Great work, Luke. I really enjoy your artistic eye, sense of style, and obviously, your surfing. Thank you for the time in answering a few questions as well.
As for the readers and viewers, I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I did and find some inspiration to try something new. Find a new line. Search for a new feel. Listen to new music and appreciate new art. There are so many creatives out there in the world like Luke who go unknown and under appreciated. Iโm grateful to people like him for motivating me to find the creative and explorative side of myself. Looking forward to the next edit from Luke and Free99x.
Without further ado – Luke Worsham X Free99X – 5’10 NOZ.
Until next time.
Cheers,
hwilsin
