FORMER WPS SURFERS REP SHARES HEARTFELT, TEAR-JERKING MESSAGE ABOUT MISSING J-BAY. FANS SUPPORT, “YOU SHOULD BE THERE!!”

In the latest episode of the Ex – WPS Surfer Rep’s descend from divinity, we find Mr. Conner Coffin extending yet another plea for sorrow. After unconfirmed rumors surfaced of CC being the main penman behind the Surfers Petition earlier in the year, the saga continues following his latest instagram post:

“Jeffery’s Bay – What a magical place. This was typically the week that I would be there in the lead up to the event and my phone started reminding me of that. Over the years I scored some amazing sessions out at j bay and surfed some of my favorite heats on tour. I have so many amazing memories from this place and I definitely will be back soon I hope.”

He continues on, but you can read the rest for yourself below. My favorite part was, “I definitely will be back soon I hope.”

Definitely, I hope. Your culprit for the handwritten petition, I rest my case.

Fans of Conner from around the globe sang out in support in the comments, a few examples being:

“You gonna be back soon!”

“You definitely need to be there!”

“Won’t be the same without you. <3”

A few blue checks also left encouraging comments:

Peter_mel :  “Going to miss you there this year. That second carve is genius!!!”

The carve Pete Mel was speaking of.

Owright : “Definitely miss you at jbay brah!!! Letttsss grind (flexing emoji)”

A couple followers even went as far as to say the good ole’ Wozzle should throw him a bone, give him a wildcard entry into the event!

“Hey @ wsl … Give Conner the Wild Card at J-Bay!!! You know he draws some of the best lines on that canvas! (100 emoji) (flexing emoji)”

“@ wsl So many wild card spots available and you don’t give one to Conner? First out on that horrible cut line. Surfs right hand point breaks better than almost anyone in the world. Isn’t the WSL trying to grow and show its best surfers on best waves? Who better than Conner at JBay for a wildcard spot?”

The WSL has awarded the local wildcard to Joshe Faulkner, and another local Luke Thompson, “the highest ranked South African surfer on the Ballito Pro Challenger Series event,” will replace the injured John John Florence.

Here is Conner’s complete post.

How do you feel about sad pup Conner? Does he maybe, possibly deserve a wild card spot, based solely on the merit of his rail game surfing? Leave a comment below. Tune in next week for some debate…

(Not Really)
