Jordy Smith dropped an insane movie last week. A mind bending, perspective altering watch. My immediate thought – is Jordy the best 37 year old surfer, ever? I had to go back to 2010 Kelly clips to find out the short answer – no. If Jordy can win the title this year, like we were all whispering about last year, then we can have this conversation again.
Of course the Title is not the end all be all. Jordy might in fact already be starting to look in another direction; he released another video this week that is more of a blog style edit, tracing his background in board building. The mere question I pose to you is this – is Jordy surfing better than ever, now, at 37? It sure looks that way to me. How’s that! 37 – the new prime. I’ve got 7 years still until I’m doing my best surfing! How about you?
