From a look at their website, it seems they are still around but have now moved into the much more robust markets of true major sports such as baseball, soccer and softball.
One must wonder, why the departure from surfing? This technology could be absolutely game changing now-a-days, specifically for any wave pools. Doesn’t the Woz count the amount of time spent in the barrel at the Surf Ranch Pro? Bringing in any kind of measuring statistic would seem plausible for the controlled environment. Let’s say back to back air reverses go down. Instead of leaving it up to opinion of who’s air looked better, the judges could go straight to the board; SurferA got 4 inches higher, but SurferB had 30° more rotation. The entire format could be clear and cut with the use of some technology like this.
Surfing must not have the profit margin for the tech? Maybe the disc itself is a disruption on the board? The solution could be moving the disc to the tail, just behind the deck pad? Many unanswered questions. I decided to try to do some investigative work. Stay tuned for a follow up.

Maybe it’s because they focused on developing it as a consumable and not an institutional service. My unsolicited 2 cents.
